Cricut thanksgiving projects

You can make some Cricut thanksgiving decorations with few materials and in a very easy way.

Keep your Cricut machine handy for these Cricut Thanksgiving projects.

Idea 1: Cricut thanksgiving table decorations

For this project, use the images you prefer, for example you can use a design of dry leaves to give your decorations a more autumnal motif or if you prefer, just print the names of each guest to locate their place at the table.

Let’s start with the bill of materials:

  • Cricut machine
  • Cricut Design Space
  • Cardstock or paper
  • Glue

This general guide will help you to order the steps for the execution of different thanksgiving  Cricut projects.

  • Step 1

Choose the images you want in your design, along with the lettering and anything else you want to add to print and cut with your Cricut machine.

Make your design in Cricut Design Space or your preferred design program. Add the text, images and order them the way you like.

  • Step 2

Set the program to cut the colors and design you want. Follow the instructions on the screen to cut the different layers and materials.

Place the paper you will use on the mat and start cutting it.

  • Step 3

Assemble the pieces cut by your Cricut machine. If necessary, apply glue to the pieces to hold the entire design together.

With this general guide you can make the following thanksgiving Cricut ideas:

  • Personalize place cards with your guests’ names.
  • Napkin ring appliques.
  • Centerpieces, for example, a paper flower crown decorated with pinecones.
  • Cut vinyl to decorate the Thanksgiving dessert serving tray.
  • Cut a design in iron-on vinyl to decorate a tea towel, napkins, tablecloths or table runners with Thanksgiving decorations.
  • Cut a design in normal vinyl to decorate candle holders, salt and pepper shakers, etc.
  • Stick vinyl on glasses and cups with the name of your guests.

Idea 2: Thanksgiving banner to hang

This banner is a beautiful idea to receive your guests. In it you can place some word that represents this celebration or place photos.

To make the banner you will need:

  • Cricut machine
  • Adhesive vinyl
  • Cardstock or thick paper
  • Cord
  • Glue, tape or stapler
  • Photos (optional)

  • Step 1

We will start by designing the banner in Cricut Design Space. Use the “text” tool to add a word and choose the font you like for this project. Some words that you can use are for example family, friends, thank you, welcome, etc.

If you prefer to place photos, skip the step of adding text.

  • Step 2

Then, make the number of pennants you need based on the number of letters in the word you chose. That is, if you chose “thank you”, it makes 9 flags.
  • Step 3

Change the size of the flags and the letters to fit on the flags.

If you want to add another word for the back to make your banner reversible, you can add that as well.

  • Step 4

Set the program to cut the self-adhesive vinyl letters and the paper banners. Follow the instructions on the screen to cut the different layers and materials.

Place the paper you will use on the mat and start cutting it.

  • Step 5

Insert your mat, then the paper, and your Cricut will cut your project.
  • Step 6

Glue one letter per flag and assemble the banner with the cord to hang it, for this use glue, tape, or a stapler.
  • Step 7

Your banner is ready to hang! Put it in a place where it will shine, for example, on a wall, in the entrance to the house or under a shelf.
